In a world rife with supernatural powers, filled with strangeness beyond logic and shaken by a daily rising death toll, a modern man named Liam Tirarty is reincarnated into the body of Zavi Actitus, in a world inspired by the Victorian era. As he struggles to understand his new surroundings, Liam is struck by various unexplained phenomena, and—unintentionally—he becomes increasingly entangled in the hidden world of the supernatural, encountering events beyond human comprehension, and acquiring the ability of "The Magician." From then on, his life changes completely, as he is pursued by someone for his involvement with a cult, and must survive both their pursuit and a world filled with supernatural darkness.
