A boy, fifteen, has never been good at anything — not martial arts, not study, not people. For ten years he has climbed a mountain dojo to lose, every single night, to an old master who told him that talent has limits but experience doesn't. Alone in a small apartment, he buys New Horizon on a whim: a game rumored to read its players instead of letting them create characters. The synchronization judges him average in everything and empty of everything — until a random "present" upgrades his body from Normal to Strong, and a mirror shows him eyes he doesn't have: one ink, one gold. Knowing only that the game takes place at the Royal Academy, and refusing to read spoilers, he logs in. His last thought as his old self: he really should have read them.
