Ominously enough, I just drove back to the mountains to live in an old cabin on a lonely hill for the summer. Yet as a storm of memories and feelings assail me, I don't feel as alone as I was supposed to. Never mind the relentless shifting shadow which stalks my steps on dark forest soil. Gulp. But add in the very ridiculous fact that Kai Hadley- my brother's best friend, my childhood nemesis slash first kiss- has returned to the lake too, living life as a ruggedly gorgeous Forest Ranger. Showing up in my personal space like he actually wants to. Seriously, I'm not so sure the whole idea isn't entirely... Certifiable.
