When Lenora True returned to Pine Summit Lake, she hoped she was just there for her weird treatment plan and that no one would notice her ensconced in a tiny, rustic cabin on a lonely hill overlooking the water. Especially her childhood crush. Yet, with her first steps onto dark forest soil, her path collides with Kai Hadley, sending her heart careening into his. Whoa! He’s not only her brother’s bestest friend, ever, but he’s wearing the helk out of a Forest Ranger uniform! As she tries to steer clear of his persistently gorgeous attention, and stick to her whole reason for being at a higher altitude, you know, a hermit life- I mean, therapy- an eerily familiar figure stalks her from the forest. As shadows stretch and shift among the pine trees, Lenora is haunted by a woman’s voice warning her of imminent danger. Time seems to be running out as her memories grow clearer and her past in the darkness begins to illuminate her future. Lenora True has a purpose.
